Mabel Shelloff, aged 71 years of Grand Forks, B.C., passed away peacefully July 13, 2012 at home.

Mabel was born February 23, 1941, at Brilliant, B.C, the daughter of Lawrence and Mable Makeyff. Mabel grew up and received her schooling at Grand Forks, B.C. On October 11, 1958, Mabel was united in marriage to Nick Shelloff at Grand Forks.

Mabel was a kind and good person. Mabel was a person who prided herself by her work and by always keeping busy. Growing flowers was a true passion of Mabels. Flowers adorned her window sills, living room, sidewalk, and front and back yards. Mabel loved to garden and when you looked for her in the summertime, you could be assured a water hose was running and her flowers were being cared for.

Mabel loved her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and we all love her. We will never forget Mabel as a wife, mother and grandmother. We will deeply miss Mom. Mabel is forever in our memories.

Mabel was predeceased by her parents and two brothers; Michael and Larry.

Mabel is survived by her husband Nick; two sons, Phillip and Jack (Fran); her grandchildren: Shannon (Brent), Samantha (Tyler), Josie and Alan; and great-grandchildren: Jayden, Benjamin and Colby.

The Shelloff family would like to thank the ambulance attendants, Jerry Seminoff for officiating and Everett Baker and staff of Grand Forks Funeral Home for arrangements, guidance and help. Prayer services were held on July 17, 2012, at Grand Forks Funeral Home with internment at the USCC Doukhobor Cemetery at Grand Forks, British Columbia.
