Spavor Louis, Passed away Peacefully November 12, 2021 in Grand Forks, BC at the age of 89.
He is predeceased by Joseph Spavor (father), Susan Spavor (mother), William Spavor (brother), Nancy Banks (niece).
He is survived by his wife Anita Spavor, son Patrick Spavor (Jill), daughter Shelley Carvalho (Mario), son Mark Spavor (Kathy), daughter Jeanne Campbell (Woody).
Grandchildren Amy Morison, Bill Campbell (Jenna), Zack Spavor (Sierra), Emily Spavor (Andrew), Amanda Carvalho & Christopher Carvalho.
Great-Grandchildren Declan, Jensen, Thomas & Mackenzie.
Born in Kriva, Czechoslovakia, Louis traveled to Canada with his family arriving in Midway, BC in 1948. He was a resident of Midway for over 73 years.
"Louie" was a long-time employee of Pope & Talbot, where he worked as a Benchman Saw Filer. He enjoyed curling, golfing, hunting, dancing, children, grandchildren & great grand children. He will be remembered by many for his love of music, singing & his memorable voice singing Silent Night in his Slovak language.
A Celebration of Life will take place in the Spring of 2022, date/time TBA.
Cremation has taken place, thank you to Grand Forks Funeral Home.
