Loretta Boles (nee Young)

July 5, 1940 - October 4, 2021
Loretta passed away with her family at her side on October 4th, 2021, in the Penticton Hospital.
She was predeceased by her parents, John Stewart (Stew) and Elsie Young and her siblings Stewie and Bonnie.
Loretta was born in Ocean Falls, BC and later moved with the family to Campbell River, BC in 1951. Loretta met Walter at a friend's birthday party which led to their marriage on July 23, 1960.
She served many years in banking, enjoyed her summer activities of camping and spending time in the backyard pool with family and friends. Loretta loved music, including playing her piano, guitar, accordion, and you would usually hear her singing as she went about her day.
Being the good hearted gal she was, Loretta was always willing to lend a helping hand.
Loretta is survived by her loving husband Walter (of 61 years), her brother Stan (Dorothy), daughters Sandra and Sally, Grandchildren Shawna (David), Adam (Sarah), Haley (Mark), Great Grandchildren Nathan, Amelia, Elliott and Scottie as well as her many nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Special thanks to the ambulance crew and the Nursing Staff of the 6th floor at the Penticton hospital for the exceptional care Loretta received, we will always be grateful.

Care and arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker Family & Grand Forks Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Loretta's memory to the BC Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will take place on October 23rd, 2021 at 1pm at the Grand Forks Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
