She enrolled at NSCAD and set off driving across Canada on her own to Nova Scotia. She fell in love with Art College (graduating with a Fine Arts degree in 1994) and the city of Halifax.

She continued her love of the arts painting and sketching while employed at the Marriott Harbourfront for the past 21 years. A number of her pieces hang in Halifax businesses. Loresa had a positive impact on the many friends and colleagues while working and living in Halifax. She had a love and passion for Jamaica, visiting it for two months each year.
