In loving memory ~
With heavy hearts our family regrets the passing of Lawrence Planidin of Grand Forks. Lawrence was born in Nelson, BC to Fred and Vera Planidin where they resided in Slocan Park. Lawrence spent the majority of his life as a concrete finisher and shared his skills with anyone lucky enough to work for him. His passion was antiques, old cars and machinery.
He was predeceased by his dad in 1968 and his home in 1978, brother-in-law Chris Wasney in 2010, and his partner Liz Gable in 2021.
He is survived by his siblings Marion (Willie) Harasemow, Elaine Wasney, Fred (Dale) Planidin, 4 nieces, 2 nephews and numerous great nephews and nieces.
Our family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Boundary, Kelowna and Trail Hospital for the care Lawrence received. Also a huge thank you to all who helped Lawrence through his difficult journey, and to all who has given our families love and support.
A Celebration of Life will be held in his backyard on Andros Rd in Grand Forks September 10th 1-4pm with private burial at an earlier time.
He will live in our hearts forever, may he rest in peace.
