Ken Sandner of Christina Lake passed away peacefully on January 20th at the Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Tippi; children: Shirley (Mike), Janice (John), and James; grandchildren: David, Niko, Jeremy, Brook (Ryan); great grandchild: Hadley; brother: Doug; as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his father (Randy), mother (Cec) and brother (Stan).
Ken lived his whole life at Christina Lake and was a pillar to his community. He was co-owner of Sandner Brothers Lumber Company, Sandner Transport Limited and International Reload Systems.
Ken loved the lake, especially spending time at his cabin at the north end of the lake. Over the years he enjoyed flying in his own planes, curling, skiing and golfing. He was a long-time member of the Gyro Club.
There will be a private Celebration of Ken's Life in June.
