It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kenji Oye after a brief stay at the Boundary District Hospital in Grand Forks.
Born in Greenwood BC, to a large and wonderful family, Kenji moved to Vancouver, where he lived for many years before moving back to Greenwood approximately 7 years ago to the community he once loved.
Kenji, according to many people, was an ace tennis player and a pool shark. He loved fishing and spent many hours during the summer at his beloved Boundary Creek and at Jewel Lake.
Kenji had many supportive friends and family who cared about him including his son Shane Foster, his sister Sumiko Luznar and family, and childhood friend Arnold Cudworth who will miss the many fish that he caught and used to give to him.
Your friends at A&W who you met every week will miss you!
