On Saturday, May 10th, 2014, Kay Holloway passed away peacefully with her husband Chuck and her children by her side at Christina Lake Manor (HVL) after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Kay was born May 13th, 1931; the first child of Rose and Reg Lucy of Vancouver, BC. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother John. She is survived by her husband Chuck, her children Darlene, Bernice (Dave), Susan (Ken), Jim (Kris), Cameron (Tanya), Kandice (Wayne), 16 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Kay will be remembered for her love of gardening, her passion for quilting and her flare for entertaining. Kay and Chuck spent endless hours enjoying Christina Lake with their children and grandchildren. Kay’s family would like to thank the medical staff and caregivers at Christina Lake Manor for their care and support over the past 5 years. By her request cremation has taken place and there will be no service. Cremation has been entrusted to Grand Forks Funeral Home. Donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or the charity of your choice.
