In loving memory ~
Mom left us peacefully on October 8, 2023, and will be lovingly remembered by her children Kathy-Lynne (Paul), John and Lorie (Lance), as well as grandchildren Nicholas, Matthew, Rebecca (Colin), Jacob, Annelise, great-grandchildren Farley, Walden and her brother Dave Bannerman. She was pre-deceased by her youngest son Barry (2019) and husband Jack (2012).
Kathy was born August 4, 1942, in Edmonton to Kay and Harold Bannerman. She was raised in the Lower Mainland and spent time in Northern BC before moving to Grand Forks in 1975. Kathy was a long-established bookkeeper for several local businesses. Mom was also actively involved with numerous community projects and organizations including the Grand Forks Library and Fall Fair, Boundary Museum Society, Interior Health, Broadacres and Boundary Lodge.
Kathy had the unique ability to connect with everyone and always loved a great conversation. She had a keen wit, a strong social conscience, and was truly interested in people, their stories and different viewpoints. Mom was our rock and our sunshine. Always a source of support and unwavering, unconditional love, she will truly be missed by all of her family and friends.
A Service will be held Wednesday, October 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Forks Funeral Home followed by refreshments for all wishing to attend.
