Goldthorpe, Joyce Marie, 78 of Grand Forks BC , formerly of Fruitvale passed away August 30 2019 at Trail Regional Hospital with her family at her side.
Joyce loved to garden and cook and was an avid genealogist. She was active in her church and Family History Centre.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband William David Goldthorpe in 2010, both parents James and Marie Coole and by brother Gordon Coole. Loving remembered by her children W. Evert Goldthorpe (Robyn), Alita Whaley (Larry), Tracey Goldthorpe-Lamerts (Mike), Cheryl James (Andrew), April Stein (friend Garry Campbell) and 8 grandchildren Jeremy (Heather), Alisha (Derek), Cecilia (Myles), James (Shasta), Christie (Andrew), Colton, Aidan and Anthony as well as 4 great grandchildren all who referred to her as GGMa, Jerek, Boden, Levi and Heidi. Joyce is also lovingly remembered by sister Dianne (Ove) and brother Dean Coole.
Cremation has taken place and a small family gathering will be held at a later date.
We would like to thank the many doctors and nurses who cared for mom in the last 4 months. A very special thank you to Buffy and Seana for being there for Our Mom.
