Joseph (Jost) Brolmann passed away peacefully in his home in Midway B.C. on Aug.15 2023 at the age of 70.
Jost, as he was known, was a long-time resident of the Boundary. Initially, he owned property in Eholt and most recently in Midway. Jost was a lover of nature and animals, especially dogs.
Many years ago he adopted a puppy which had been rescued from a seriously neglectful and abusive situation and brought to the Grand Forks SPCA. He named his dog Tippy and with kindness, patience and walks in nature, he transformed this shivering, frightened, whimpering wreck of a puppy into a confident, trusting, happy and loyal companion of 14 years.
To me, this is the measure of a truly decent man. Jost also had great compassion for those less fortunate and requested that a significant donation be made to Whispers of Hope as his legacy.
Jost will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his family and numerous friends and acquaintances. Happy trails my dear friend.
