JAMES (JIM) LESERGENT

November 1, 2011

Jim passed away November 1, 2011, in Boundary Hospital at Grand Forks.

He is survived by his children: Gordon LeSergent (Lynn), Larry LeSergent and Dolores LeSergent (Cam); and his five grand children: Morgan, Lauren, Stephan, Rose and Melina.

Jim was born at Rossland in 1936. He moved to Greenwood, then the Boundary Creek valley as a child. He settled in Grand Forks in 1958.

Jim went to work in the bush at age 15, and worked for various logging contractors. He then worked for Pope and Talbot for 32 years as a cat operator, until his retirement in 1998. He was very proud of the many miles of logging road that he built throughout the area, most still in use today.

Jim loved being outdoors, and was an avid hunter, prospector, and bottle collector. He also enjoyed cutting firewood. His other passion was music. He was a natural musician, and could play any instrument by ear. He spent many hours playing his keyboards, and accordions.

Special thanks to his doctor, and the staff at Boundary Hospital. There will be no service by request. Grand Forks Funeral Home was in care of arrangements.
