1932-2023  ~  Jim passed away February 19th in Boundary Hospital with family by his side. He was born in Armstrong, British Columbia to Louis & Dolly Field.
Jim married his wife Charlotte in Salmon Arm in 1955. He started his career in road building around the province of B.C. and in 1956, arrived in Christina Lake with P.F. Law Construction, working on building the highway from Grand Forks through to Castlegar.
Jim later formed Tri-Way Construction with Doug and Ken Sandner, building many other projects around the Kootenays, later forming Jamesfield Construction.
Jim lived in Cranbrook for 10 years before moving back to Christina Lake where he worked as a road foreman for Pope & Talbot.
After retirement, Jim continued with many projects in the area until he was 80. Jim loved to curl and golf and spent many hours at the Christina Lake Golf Club.
Jim is predeceased by his father and mother, Louis, and Dolly Field and is survived by his wife Charlotte of 67 years, daughter Lori (Rick) sons Brad (Barb) and Darren, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild, his 3 sisters and their families and many other relatives.
