Born and schooled at North Vancouver, Jim died at Grand Forks on March 28, 2010, after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Norma; children: Addam (Cheryl), Rachell and Tania (Duane); grandson, Marcus; and sister, Diane Streeter.Jim was employed by the Greater Vancouver Water District for 32 years, advancing from Draftsman to Supervisor of Operations and Systems Control. His great passion was cars, and especially drag racing. He raced at Mission Raceways, Abbotsford and Thunder Mountain near Kelowna.A memorial service will be held on Sunday, April 11, 2010, at 10:30 a.m., at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Grand Forks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a cancer agency or Canadian Diabetes Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Baker family of Grand Forks Funeral Home.
