August 21, 1931 - August 15, 2018
Jacob (Jake) Raven passed away at Grand Forks Hospital with his wife and son in attendance.
He was pre deceased by his parents Jacob and Gezina (Davids) Raven. Sisters, Manna (Cor), Annie (Ab), Brother Cor (Folkje), Koert (Alie), Arie (Corrie) Grandchildren Christifer and Kalen. Daughters-in-law Tammi & Fawn.
He leaves to mourn, his loving wife Theresa, daughters Debbie (Roger) Gagnon, Ann Raven, sons Jack and wife Anne Byers, Ed Raven, Robert Raven and Ron Raven. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Jake immigrated to Canada in 1954. He arrived in Edmonton and worked as a farm labourer. Jake married Theresa June 10, 1961. He purchased a farm and farmed for many years in different locations around Alberta.
He moved to Grand Forks 28 years ago. He loved Grand Forks and was very involved in the community, including a term as mayor. He was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion. His church community was a major source of joy and comfort for both he & Theresa.

Services for Jake will be held August 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the 1st Baptist Church, 2495 - 76th Ave, Grand Forks, BC.
