Jack won’t be picking up his pen anymore. Jack Ritchie Blower passed away July 10, 2016 in his hometown of Grand Forks, B.C. Born November 4, 1930 in Port Alberni B.C., Jack was predeceased by his parents and 1 sister Noreen.

He is survived by his 2 children Dave and Cathy, 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Dan, Ken, Bill & sister Karen.

Jack was a local character who loved nothing more than to debate any and all topics. Jack was very well read and love or hate his stance he could always back up his views. Jack was an avid outdoorsman who loved to spend his time fishing, hunting, and exploring the great outdoors, from the shores Haida Gwaii, to the deserts of the south west to the beaches of Cuba.

Jack had a very diverse working career and an exciting life. His working life included millwrighting, commercial fishing, log salvage, tug boats, and he retired with B.C. Ferries (Hornby Island). Many years in Grand Forks were spent with his special friend Carolyn.
