In Loving Memory ~
Ina was born on a farm in Ashmont Alberta to William and Bessie Hartley.
She was the oldest of four girls.
Ina completed grade six in Ashmont's one-room schoolhouse and then boarded in Ashmont for two years to complete her grade eight.
Ina moved to Edmonton and then Vancouver working mostly as a cashier in grocery stores. She worked her way from cashier to assistant manager of the Overwaitea store in White Rock.
In the late 1970s, she sold her house and moved to New Westminster to attend Pacific Vocational School.
After her program finished she was hired to work in the office of the school.
Ina met Terry and they were married in 1982.
Although Ina never had children of her own, she was the best mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt that anyone could possibly hope for.
She was predeceased by Terry, her parents and siblings.
She is survived by Terry's children Rod, Bill and Deanne and also by many nieces and nephews.
There will be no service by Ina's request.
