In Loving Memory ~ It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother at the age of 83.
Helen was born to Nick and Nastia Hadikin on June 13, 1937 in Glade BC. She was the middle child to older brother John and younger brother Harry.
At the age of 16, Helen moved to Grand Forks BC. where she resided the majority of her life working many jobs and raising 5 children. She was a devoted member of the USCC and many of its choirs. Helen held a talent as a great singer and eventually made a CD of her favourite songs. Her passions in life included growing flowers, having a garden and being a nature photographer.
She is survived by her brothers, John (Anne) and Harry (Flo); Husband Steve, children; Joe (Lillian), Walter, Lorrie (Roy), Naida and Neil. She was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
The family would like to express many thanks to the staff of the Boundary Hospital and Hardy View Lodge for their excellent care of our mom. A small regulated ceremony was held at the Grand Forks funeral home, followed by a traditional burial at the Sion Cemetery on January 26, 2021.
