Sadly Helen passed away in Alberta where she moved from Silver Kettle Village to be with her family.
Born in Medicine Hat, Ab, she was raised in Creston, B.C. She married Bill in Invermere, B.C. in 1945 where she was the one-room schoolteacher. They raised their family in Christina Lake and Grand Forks.
Helen taught at Perley Elementary and Hutton School. She lived in the Sunshine Valley for 62 years where she shared her love of music and writing. She loved her faith, family, friends, neighbours and community. She is survived by Elaine, Dan and Murray, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Her prayer is that "God bless you until we meet again".
