Hannah (Irene) Bartlett was born July 18th, 1919 in Vancouver, B.C and passed away May 1st, 2013 in Grand Forks at the age of 93.
Irene was predeceased by her caring husband Richard and son Norman. She is loving survived by her daughter Dianne (Loyd), sons Lorne (Jane), Brian (Bryn), eight grandchild Whalen (Leanne), Stephan, Morly, Reece, Adrienne, Scott, Shae, Tegan and great-granddaughter Keira.
Irene was a long time employee as a secretary for Grand Forks Secondary. She had many interests in her life.
She enjoyed nothing better than to sit down with family and friends and have a good conversation.
Irene was extremely grateful of the loving care given by Donna, George and Judy and the many neighbours and friends in Grand Forks that never ceased to stop by for a chat or give her support.
There will be a Celebration of Irene’s Life on Saturday, June 15th at St. John’s United Church, Grand Forks; time to be announced. Donations may be made in Irene’s name to Phoenix Foundation Rotary Scholarship Fund.
