Grant Andrew Vermiere died suddenly on Jan. 21, 2017 in Grand Forks at the age of 29. He is lovingly survived by his parents Lester and Nadine, brother Colin, grandmother Diane Vinnedge, and grandfather George Graham who sadly passed away Jan. 23, 2017. Grant leaves behind many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Grant was born in Prince George, B.C. and lived there until he was 4. He spent his next four years in Dease Lake, B.C., where he learned to hate the cold. He then settled in Grand Forks at age 8 where he made many life-long friends. Grant worked for Bron and Sons Nursery for 10 years. His strong work ethic was recognized and respected by his coworkers.

Grant enjoyed gaming, working out at the gym, dirt biking, camping, hiking and travel adventures/misadventures with brother Colin, and bro’s Leahland and Leland.

Although his life was short, many were touched by Grant’s smile, generosity and easy going manner. Grant’s regrets where few. His family feels that if Grant had a wish to be passed along, it would be to remember him everytime you adventure without him.

The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of heartfelt support during this difficult time. The community of Grand Forks has wrapped us in its loving embrace and made this tragic loss more bearable.

We would especially like to thank Grant’s Auntie Mary Beth and Uncle Greg Rawling for travelling so far to offer their loving support. No service will be held.

He that planteth a tree provideth a kindness for many generations and faces that he has not seen shall bless him.

Peace
