Gertrude Lorraine Hanlon (Mercer), was born at St. John’s, NL on April 6, 1935 and passed away Feb. 4, 2013 at White Rock, BC. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, Llewellyn (1990) and Gertrude (2006). Lorraine married Cyril Hanlon in June 1952 and in 1969, the family moved to Christina Lake, where they lived for many years. Cyril and Lorraine retired to White Rock, BC and travelled extensively. Lorraine leaves her husband of 60 years, Cyril, and their children, Linda (Wallace) Noyes, Prince George, BC, Christopher (Jeanette) Hanlon, Grand Forks, BC,
Sandra (Wayne) Wellbourn, Sparwood, BC, and Judy (Roger) Acres, Vancouver, BC. She also leaves seven grandchildren: Tracy (Shaun) Peterson, Prince George, BC, Stephanie Hanlon,Vancouver, BC, Sean Hanlon, Calgary, AB, Cyril (Julie) Acres, Vancouver, BC, Deanne Acres, Cape Town, SA, Christopher (Danielle) Wellbourn, Creston, BC, and Julie (Brian) Morey, Victoria, BC. She also leaves four great-grandchildren: Yvonne and Marcus Peterson, Prince George, BC and Morgan and Jason Morey, Victoria, BC.
