Words cannot express how saddened we are to announce the sudden passing of our loved one Gerald George Semenoff (Aged 61) on Friday, September 30, 2016 at his work site in Hinton, Alberta.

Gerry was born on November 19, 1954 in Grand Forks where he resided his whole life. Gerry was predeceased by his father George Semenoff and his mother Lynne Semenoff.

He is survived by his children Kristina (Mackie) Squarebriggs, Alex Kovacs, and Annalise Semenoff who was born on her Dad’s 46th Birthday; Grandsons Aiden and Jaizen Squarebriggs; Brother Jack (wife Gerry) Semenoff; Nieces Stacey (Michael) Cassidy and Nicole Semenoff; Grand niece Annastasia Cassidy, also several aunties, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and many life-long and current friends.

Gerry was a caring and loving man with a sensitive and big heart. He loved a good home cooked meal and spinning a tall tale. Gerry was most at home in the bush where he worked and spent free time. He was a skilled fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed a good game of golf, loved being around people, and catching up on his soaps when time allowed. But mostly he loved his time at home, cooking, playing Wii, spending quality time and recharging with his children and grandsons. Gerry will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he touched and his larger than life presence will make it impossible to ever forget him.

A celebration of life will be held on October 22, 2016 at the curling rink in Grand Forks starting at 2 p.m.
