GEORGE LLOYD NERGREIFF

February 14, 2017

George Lloyd, of the house Negreiff, first of his name was born to proud parents Peter and Polly on April 11, 1954. He was the second of three children and he certainly lived his life to the fullest and regret free. He had recently retired from a long, productive career at Alcan where he started as a machinist in Kemano in 1982 then finished as an experienced millwright in Kitimat after almost 30 years.

George took his final boat ride into the sunrise on Feb. 14, 2017. He will always be remembered for his favourite passion, fishing. George could regularly be found plotting his next visit to the great outdoors, crafting flies to catch lunkers, and he also loved watching football on any given Sunday.

George was a very creative man, who would take the time to learn whatever he needed to do, to get the job done right.

He leaves behind a family for whom he cared greatly, worked tirelessly for and who will always remember how strong he was.

His mother Polly will always love and miss her son of 62 years. His wife of 44 years Winnifred, will miss his laughter and companionship. And his children Jason and Jennifer, will miss his great wisdom and dad jokes. His Brothers Andy and Michael along with his friends will continue to fish on his honor and will most assured know that he will be with them in spirit anytime they are out on the water.

A celebration of life is being planned for late spring. Announcement will follow soon.

The Negreiff family would like to thank everyone who took care of George, the hospital staff, the chemo crew, all the nurses, doctors, home care workers and the pharmasave crew. For everyone of you a special thank you.

From me, Winnie Negreiff and family
