1937 to 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of George on December 8, 2011, with his loving family by his side. George was a hard working, proud family man and worked as a Seaman off the coast of Vancouver for 49 years. He retired as Tug Boat Captain to focus on his farm at Greenwood with his loving wife of 50 years by his side.
He will be remembered tenderly with love by his wife, Susan (The Good Woman); daughters: Kathy (Wayne), Shelley (Mike) and Cheryl (Kirby); and “Grumpsco's” grandchildren: Dustin, Jesleena, Breann, Joshua, Jordan, Kodi and Blake; sister, Halainna; nieces, nephews and many friends.
A special thank you to the First Responders, ambulance attendants, staff of Boundary Hospital and the ICU team of Trail Regional Hospital.
A celebration of his life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #155 in Greenwood at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2011. Grand Forks Funeral Home had care of arrangements.
