It is with great sadness we wish to announce the passing of Gary James Cathcart. On March 26, 2019 Gary passed away peacefully at Polson Special in Vernon, B.C. at the age of 71.
"Big Gar" is survived by his wife Linea (Toby) of 49 years, sons Robert (Tammy), Dennis (Morgan) and daughter Tammy (David), grandchildren Dylan, Dusty, Tron, Tayler, Hunter, Levi, Koehn, Mya, Brenden and Garrett, and great grandchild Keaton.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Jim and Mary Cathcart, brother Tommy Cathcart, sister Elizabeth Kempa and grandson Ty Cathcart.
We would like to thank the exceptional staff at Polson Special for the outstanding love and care they provided for "Gar-bear" these last three years.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held June 29, 2019 at the Grand Forks Funeral Home. We would like to invite all family and friends to come celebrate Gary's life and share memories and stories they may have.
