Elaine Miller (McParlon), who spent a great deal of her life in Grand Forks, died peacefully on September 10, 2012, at Duncan, B.C. She kept her feistiness and sense of humour right to the end. She was 97 years old.

Those who remember Elaine will recall her work in medical records at Boundary Hospital, the Hospital Auxiliary Thrift Shop and Meal on wheels.

Her family and friends, too many to mention, are all so proud of who she was and for her many contributions. Elaine will never be forgotten.

A gathering to celebrate Elaine’s life will be held at Grand Forks at a future date, and her ashes will be interred at that time. Donations in memory of Elaine’s life may be made to the Boundary Hospital or to a charity of your choosing. Cremation arrangements were made by H.W. Wallace of Duncan, B.C.
