Doug was born in Penticton BC, on Jan. 18, 1931, to parents Hugh and Alice Bryan and passed away on May 3, 2025, in Kelowna BC, at age of 94. He was predeceased by his brothers Bob and Dave as well as his sister Frances. He is survived by his wife Cecelia, sons Wesley (Bobbi), Russell (Gail) and daughter Rena, six grandchildren Carla, Jessica, Christopher, Garry, Dakota and Hailey, Nine great-grandchildren Dayton, Raelyn, Rayne, Aysia, Daegen, Kaydee, Kobe, Taillon and Jack , one great-great grandson Hudson.
Doug grew up around OK Falls, BC and pursued a career in the forestry mainly as a cat operator all over BC. He's last job was with Pope and Talbot as a grader operator.
In his later years Doug married Cee and enjoyed his retirement doing all his hobbies with her at his side. Camping, fishing, woodworking, hunting and target shooting. He went to every rifle shoot he could get to and competed well into his 90's, winning a lot. He loved watching wildlife from his window with his spotting scope.
Doug also enjoyed his family and towed the grandkids around on the quad or snowmobile a lot. He will be missed by us all.
Memorial to be held on June 21 at 1pm located at Kettle Wildlife Hall, 1635 Dump Rd, Rock Creek.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kettle Wildlife Association.
