t is with great sadness and countless fond memories that the passing of Dorothy Jean Haslam-Smith (Jean) is announced. Jean passed away peacefully in care on November 2, 2012, at the age of 84. Jean was born in Westminster, Ontario on February 5th, 1928. She spent much of her early life near Sussex, New Brunswick. Following her marriage, Jean and John Haslam made their way to Southern Alberta and started their family in Waterton Park. Jean was predeceased by her husband John Haslam and her sons Wayne and Dean. Jean remarried to Ken Smith and following several years living near Pincher Creek, Alberta, moved to Grand Forks to complete her life. Jean is survived by her loving husband Ken, son Brent, daughter Sandra, sisters Florence, Irene and Betty and brother Jim. Our loving wife, mother, sister, and friend may no longer be with us, but her love and spirit will remain with us always.
