It is with deep sadness that the Dees Family announces the passing of our beloved Mother Doreen Dees. She passed suddenly on February 21, 2013 in Grand Forks. Born in England in June of 1924 she married Ron in April of 1947. Together they raised four sons. Ron carried out his duty as an officer of the law while Doreen dedicated her life to managing their home and raising her four lads, as she called them.

They emigrated to Canada in 1983, following three of their sons and bringing the fourth with them. After 10 years of living in Maple Ridge they spent time in Baynes Lake, outside of Cranbrook, B.C., in Grand Forks and Cranbrook. Doreen’s last days were spent happy and at peace in Grand Forks.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, (Ron) Roland Colling Dees in November on 2004. She is survived by one sister, Vi Laws in England; four sons, Larry (Dona), Kevin (Pam), Brian (Cheryl) and Gordon (Kari); many grandchildren and great grand-children; and numerous friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

There will be a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. April 8th at Gospel Chapel.
