It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Don on June 8/21. He was born & raised in the family home on Central Ave. in Grand Forks, where he spent the majority of his life.
He was a man of many talents; working as a mechanic, millwright for Wes Docksteader, Grand Forks Sawmill and Parta Industries. He owned his own businesses including a Texaco bulk plant and a blind installation business. He was an original member of the Grand Forks rural fire department.
His lifetime passion was flying, owning his own plane for many years. Hobbies included camping, touring backroads & hanging around airports wherever his travels took him.
He is survived by his wife of more than 64 years, Marjorie, daughter Jeanne (Doug), sons Randy & Brian; grandchildren Jackie (Christian), Jeremy (Michelle): great-grandchildren Jade, Corbin, Wyatt & Joshua.
A 'celebration of life' is planned for the afternoon of July 3, at the family home on Como Rd.
