On Nov. 4 2016 Dolly (Viola Margaret) Riley passed away peacefully at the age of 93. She spent her first 60 years in Rossland, B.C. marrying, working and raising a family. Retirement found her moving to Grand Forks with her husband Pat Riley.
Dolly was predeceased by her husband Pat. She will be missed by her son Robert (Wendy) Riley and daughter Janice Brost. She was loved by her grandchildren Anita (Mike) Borkowski, Colin (Michelle) Brost, David (Shannon) Riley, and Jennifer Copp. She also leaves 7 great grandchildren.
Dolly was a life time member of the Grand Forks Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the Naturalists and she enjoyed both bowling and a curling. Dolly’s favourite times were when she was cooking for her family and friends.
The family would like to thank the Silver Kettle, Hardy View Auxiliary Manor and especially her close neighbours Lorelle Waite, Ken Soroka, Laureen McLean and Joyce Cheek for their friendship and support.
A memorial tea will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 2:30 p.m. at River Valley Community Church, 2826 75th Ave., Grand Forks.
