With saddened hearts and many tears we announce the passing of Diana Mitri (Tubello)
or "Mama Mitri" to many. Our beloved Mother, Nonna and Bis-Nonna passed away peacefully at Boundary Hospital in Grand Forks, B.C. She was reunited with her husband of 67 years, Guerrino.
Diana was born in San Giorgio della Richenvelda, Italy on February 24, 1932. She married Guerrino Mitri on May 31, 1953 in Trail, B.C. They made a wonderful life together in Canada and were blessed with twin boys.
Diana was a wonderful cook; catering, at Mama Mitri's and cooking in her own home.
She was devoted to her family and friends and spent countless hours at the Christina Lake Community Hall preparing spaghetti feeds and teaching her talents to others. You could never leave her watch unfed. In summers recently past you could find her on her scooter at the beach basking in the sunshine.
Diana is survived by her children; John (Agnes), Tom (Arlene), her cherished grandchildren; Chris (Cheryl), Pamela (Jarrod), Tegan (Kyle), Tyson, Tess, and her great-grandchildren; Emma, Myles, Jennifer, Harris, Rowan, and Isla. We would like to thank Dr. Lewis and all the staff at the Boundary Hospital for their love, care and kindness.

Grieve not for me
Nor mourn the while,

Since I have passed away,

As I would want you to,
