In Loving Memory ~
We regret to announce that on January 11, 2022, Denise Decker of Grand Forks, British Columbia went home to be with her Lord, at the age of 66.
She was predeceased by her husband, the late John Decker and her first husband Paul Silvester.
She is survived by those who will miss and remember her:
Mother - Evelyn Kyle of Silver Kettle Home;
Sisters - Diana Kyle and Karen Kyle (Castlegar); Brother - Kenneth Kyle;
Children and (respective grandchildren) - Eric Silvester (Mary), Peter Silvester (Abigail, Korben), Valerie Silvester (Samantha Silvester,
Kimberley and Nathan Racher) and Shawn Simmons;
Aunts - Lil Warren, Ann, and Uncle - Chales
Past employee of Boundary Lodge and Hardy View - Grand Forks.
Denise attended the Gospel Chapel with Pastor Henry & Judy Klassen, and many church friends.
Special Friends - Evadene Lovell, Evelyn and Peter Brown, Barb and Ella Thate , Michael Warren, Dr. Sherry Ure (retired Naturophatic in Pentiction), Roy and Carolyn Stella and many others.
Denise had a heart and passion to share the gospel. She was a member of the Christian Motorcyclists Association and Alcohol Anonymous program. Denise and Shawn could be seen at events in the community with Shawn riding along on his side bike throughout the Kootenay Boundary Region as far as Penticton.
Denise happily served her community behind the scenes, where she obtained children's book, toys, craft items etc. for those in need. She helped whoever came across her path, irrespective of their circumstances.
She had a Heart of compassion for all. Sadly, her dreams for a mobile home kitchen to serve the homeless and all who need did not materialize.
A Service and Celebration of Life would take place in the Spring of 2022. To be announced later.
