In loving memory ~
Deirdre McKeown, age 81, of Grand Forks, B.C., passed away peacefully on August 14, 2023. She was supported and surrounded by many loving friends, including Charlene McManus, who was present with healthcare professionals from the Boundary region when she passed. Deirdre is survived by her three children, Michael, Colleen and Darren Boeur, her three grandchildren Elise, Ryan and Nigel Boeur and her great-granddaughter Freya Boeur-Ritter. Some of her favourite pursuits were artistic endeavours such as painting, drawing, singing and writing poetry. Deirdre loved the outdoors and spent many days traversing the local mountain trails and river banks while she was still able. She enjoyed listening to music and going for drives to witness all the beauty that surrounds Grand Forks. She loved supporting local bake shops and coffee houses where she would interact with staff and other community members. Deirdre spent much of her life reading and learning, with one of her favourite places being the local Library. She was a very spiritual person who embraced Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Her spirit is now free to explore unencumbered in this next phase.
