Feb 15, 1941 - Jan 2, 2018
We regret to announce the sudden passing of Dale Tifenbach on January 2, 2018.

He is survived by his daughter Denise, five sons; Lance, Brad, Ryan, Tyler, Kristofor; five brothers Clarence, Calvin, Ben, Ron, Gary, Calvin and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Dale was born on February 15, 1941 in Naicam, Saskatchewan to William and Genevieve. The family moved to Surrey BC during his teen years. Dale spent time working on tug boats and ferry boats before moving onto teaching.

He was both a teacher and a principal in many little towns across BC. From Penticton to Nakusp, Spences Bridge, Kemano and Kitimat are a few of the places where Dale taught over a span of 20 years. A firm believer in education he started an RESP for each of his grandchildren.

Dale finally settled in Greenwood and reinvented himself as an egg and honey farmer. He spent close to 20 years there before moving to Grand Forks in 2015 where he was spending the majority of his time anyway. There Dale was an active member of many organizations; the Senior's Centre, the Legion and the Church.

He loved that he called bingo, played pool and bridge. Dale even played cribbage in the BC Senior's Games in 2017. Dale was very active in his life and loved the outdoors, fishing and riding horses. He was saddened by having to quit playing hockey at the age of 74.

Dale will be greatly missed by many.

A celebration of life will be held January 20, 2018 at noon in the Grand Forks Senior's Society in City Park.
