It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grampa and great-grampa, Claude Inglis Pratt on July 14, 2010.

Throughout Claude’s life he loved his family, his home and his job. He was a kind, witty, generous, compassionate person who enjoyed friends. He loved life and accepted people unconditionally. Claude often commented on his ‘luck’ that he loved his job operating a cat, building roads and dams around the Fraser Canyon and then Revelstoke.

The love of Claude’s life was his wife, Gwen of 64 years. They loved to entertain, dance and travel in their younger years. When he retired he was still a hard worker together with Gwen, making their home and yard a show place.

Gwen passed away this year on May 21st, and Claude was a lost soul without her. May they rest together again.

Sadly missed by daughters, Elaine (Jake) and Sandy; grandchildren: Brad (Janice), Shannon, Shane (Trish) and Cody. Five great-grandchildren will miss Papa Claude too: Christopher, Taylor, Morgan, Adam and Noah; and a special friend, Madison.

A very special thank you to the Boundary Hospital doctors and nurses who cared so kindly for Claude in his final days.
