Cheryl passed away suddenly and quickly of a massive heart attack on April 26, 2010. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 30 years, Stan. Cheryl is survived by four brothers: Pete, Tod, Mal and Murray. She is also survived by two daughters, Leanne and Cherylinn. She had one step-son, Gavin, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.Cheryl gave of herself freely and unconditionally, and helped many, many, many people. She fostered grandchildren Lance and Lexus, and also served along with her husband as a foster parent for 20 years. Cheryl also took in ESL students from Japan for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and so many, many friends. Cheryl was always known for her love, courage, strength, wisdom, her faith in God and her smile. She is smiling somewhere else now in a far better place. We will all miss her so much.There will be a memorial of Cheryl’s life held on May 8, 2010 at 1 p.m., at Saint Columba United Church located at 102 South Copper Avenue, in Greenwood, just off Highway 3.
