Celine Marie Karcz passed away peacefully with her loving husband Matt and three of her dearest friends at her bedside. Celine was predeceased by her parents Louise and Louis Thievin, three brothers and five sisters. She is survived by her loving husband Matt of 59 wonderful years; brother, Paul Thieven; sister, Alice McPhee; son, Ben Karcz of Nelson; daughter, Gina Gosage of Burlington, Ontario; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Celine was an avid quilter, an active member of Sacred Heart Parish and she loved the work she did for her parish.
Prayers and a Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on January 3, 2011, at Sacred Heart Parish, Grand Forks. Celebration was by Father Don Wilson and Father Leandro Murillo. Interment to follow in the family plot in Saskatchewan.
Special thank you to her special doctor for his kindness and care during Celine’s illness. I am so grateful for the sensitive and respectful care of the nurses during Celine’s last days.
