In Loving Memory

Cecil Koochin

Feb 28, 1934 – Dec 17, 2015

Cecil passed away peacefully at Boundary Hospital in his home town of Grand Forks at the age of 81. He is predeceased by his parents Cecil and Mary and his brother Bill (Nona).

He is lovingly survived by his patient wife Alice, his son Harvey, daughter Sandy (Pete), granddaughters Sierra and Danielle. He has one remaining brother Tom (Sandy) and three sisters; Janie, Florence and Mary (Nick). He has numerous nieces and nephews.

Cecil’s long-time passion was golfing while socializing with his buddies. He also really enjoyed conversing with his animals and tomato plants in his greenhouse. Cecil enjoyed the occasional cross-border cruise and visits to the saloon. However, at the end of the day, he always returned to his loving wife Alice with a block of cheese in one hand and a pound of butter in the other. Cecil, you will always be loved and remembered for your passion for life. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and all the nurses and care aids who provided such compassionate care.

There will be a “Celebration of Life for Cecil” on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Koochin residence at 8495 Outlook Road. Your presence to celebrate his life is warmly welcome. Cecil’s cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker Family of Grand Forks Funeral Home, gffh@shaw.ca.
