Catherine (Edith) Reed (nee Talarico) born April 19, 1925 passed away peacefully in the early morning of Saturday, Sept. 26.
Edith was a loving wife and devoted mother. Edith was born in Fife and resided in Grand Forks until she met and married George Reed. The RCMP moved them to Cranbook, Vancouver, Ottawa, Kingston, Regina and finally to Victoria where they retired. After George passed away in 2006. Edith continued to live in Victoria until she moved to Silver Kettle Village in 2012. Last August she moved to Ivy House.
Edith enjoyed having family near by and especially enjoyed her many visits with her daughter Debbie. Edith always had a smile and hello for everyone. She will be sadly missed for her sense of humour and her kindness to all. A memorial service will be held for Edith at Sacred heart Church on Thursday, October 1 at 11:00 a.m.
