Carl Leighton Windross

“Gone Fishing” to the Lake in the Sky

August 19, 1933 – May 6, 2015

Born in Hamilton, Ontario to Lyla Windross. Raised by Reuben and Wilma Blockham in Holly, Ontario. Carl came to B.C. and worked in several mines before returning to Ontario and working as a metal fabricator. He married Chris Senger in 1959 and raised their son Jack and daughter Shirley-Ann in Holly, Ontario until 1973. They moved to B.C. and settled in Grand Forks. Carl worked for Pope & Talbot from 1974 - 1995. He enjoyed fishing, camping, building and racing stock cars, corn roasts and snowmobiling. He was along time member of the Legion and enjoyed his dogs and brewing his own beer! Survived by his son Jack Windross (Roxy) Grandson Dustin (Courtney) great grandson Parker, great granddaughter Blythe, granddaughter Tiffany (Keith) Duncan, great granddaughter Emmalea, great grandson Keiton, Daughter Shirley-Ann Windross.
