The family of Carl L. Stone sadly announce his passing on August 17th at Hardy View Lodge.
Carl was born in Grand Forks in 1936 and was a resident of the North Fork for most of his life. Carl was a well known member of the ranching community for many years. He served as a vice president of the local branch of the BC Cattlemens Association, and secretary of the Farmers Institute.
His many friends enjoyed his extensive knowledge of local history which was of great interest to him.
Carl was married to his wife Lona for 53 years and together they raised some of the finest beef cattle the North Fork ever produced.
Carl is survived by his wife Lona, his son Michael Hooge and his daughter Susan Sarton. Carl's brother Bert still resides in Grand Forks.
Carl was predeceased by his youngest daughter Karen and his two sisters Margery and Edna. Carl will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life may take place later in the fall.
