It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Adeline Lepitzky (nee Biddlecome). She passed away with her husband and daughter by her side, at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital in Trail, BC.

Born in Grand Forks, BC, she was the youngest of three children. Brenda grew up in Grand Forks where she met her husband Victor and they married on November 23, 1957. As Victor was in the Military, they moved to many locations across Canada and Europe before settling in Calgary, Alberta for 18 years. Even with all of the moves, Brenda continued being an outstanding homemaker and mother.

Brenda and Victor retired back to Grand Forks in 1988. Brenda's passion for babysitting was evident as she took care of many kids in the community. She was a magnificent chef and baker and as she welcomed her many friends and family into the home, she would cook up a storm. She also loved to travel and took many trips across North America & Hawaii with her family. After some coaxing, she decided to take up music where she joined her husband and friends playing stand-up bass in a Western and Bluegrass ensemble. They were known as the BC Old Time Fiddlers and also the Rocky Mountain Rollers. The bands played in many festivals across the Kootenays which was one of her great joys.

She was a true lady that donated her time and generosity. Brenda will be sincerely missed.

Brenda is survived by her husband Victor, her son Tom (Carmelita), her daughter Theresa (Mark), her granddaughter Amanda and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Everts and Minnie Biddlecome, her sister Clarice and her brother Raymond.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Grand Forks in the latter part of June 2018. Brent Long of Alternatives Funeral and Cremation Servicest has been entrusted with arrangements.

As an expression of sympathy, donations in Brenda's name may be made to your local Food Bank.
