September 13, 1975 - March 22, 2020
Passed in peace on March 22,2020 with his family gathered by his side. Bradley fought valiantly for many years against the complications from Type 1 Diabetes. Bradley's fighting spirit never gave up, his body did. Bradley was a worldly man with lots of passions, strengths and a brain filled with enormous amounts of knowledge.
It all started September 13,1975 arriving with a feisty spirit adorned with rose bud lips. Bradley was born in the lower mainland where he had an early introduction to hockey and hunting, both activities played huge roles in his life and became two of many passions. He became exceptional in hockey and played for several teams, some of which he was captained. Brad received many medals, accolades and awards over the twenty years he played. One of his most proud moments was being called up to play in the WHL for the New Westminster Bruins at age 17.
Bradley's work life consisted of a variety of positions. Worked many years at Port Moody Mill, and many more at Sam the Record Man as Manager. He accomplished and received Conservation and Pharmacy Technician certificates.
He had a huge love for foods and had an extravagantly developed pallet. Due to this another passion arose for cooking and experimenting in the kitchen trying foods from around the world, specializing in the preparation of wild game the family had gathered. So it came as no surprise that his daughter is pursuing a career in the world of culinary arts.
From an early age, Brad had a fascination with birds of all kinds, later specializing in identifying and calling waterfowl. Growing up directly underneath the Pacific flyway, naturally pursuing these fowl became his greatest hunting passion, eventually forming and becoming President of the famed 313 Crew Waterfowlers. He spread his passion to include teaching anyone who wanted to learn to hunt. Brad was always available and eager to share his experiences and knowledge in waterfowling, much of it passed down from his Father and Uncle. Brad could never contain his love of the sport and shared the blind life with his daughter and brother-in law, or anyone who wished to experience his passion.
Brad had an ear for music from all genres inherited from his Mother. He entertained many with his vocal stylings to the pleasure of any crowd. He was a self taught bass guitar and banjo player, playing mostly by ear with a mastery for tones which he also passed to his daughter. It gave Brad and many great joy to hear him and his daughter Mya's late night jam sessions.
This man will be greatly missed. He is predeceased by niece Mckenna, Aunt Sam, In-Laws, Great-Grandparents and Grandmother.
Survived by Wife Christina, Daughter Mya, Step children Cynthia, Krystal & Patrick, Mother & Father Bonnie & Mike, Sister Trisha & Brother Mike, Niece & Nephew Brooklyn & Hunter, Grandparents Ruth & Howard, Grandfather Bruce and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Family wishes to thank all ER and Dialysis teams at the Boundary Hospital for all their care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
