Art Goodwin of Grand Forks, B.C. passed away on Jan. 7, 2017. Art was born in Calgary, AB in 1935 and grew up on his parent’s farm near Calgary.
He and his wife Doreen lived in Terrace, B.C. for thirty years. After retirement they moved to Grand Forks in 2002. Art was a very talented man who was very quiet about his skills but boisterous about his politics. He was known to all to be quite a character.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years Doreen, his brothers Ray (Betty) of Calgary, AB, Ron (Dibby) of Calgary, AB, Bruce (Mary) of Sundre, AB; son Jim (Betty) of Terrace, B.C.; daughters Sherry of Grande Prairie, AB, Joleen of Grand Forks, B.C., Karen of Airdrie, AB and son Rodney (Brandy) of Grand Forks, B.C. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is resting in peace with predeceased daughters Marlene and Carol-Anne. Celebration of life is to follow later in the spring when the snow is gone and the grass is green.
