It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Arno H. Hennig. Arno passed away after a lengthy illness on August 2, 2012, at the age of 82 years old.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Elfreide. Arno was also survived by his five children: Julia Pedde, Ernie Hennig, Martin (Donna) Hennig, Roland Hennig, Gerald (Pam) Hennig. Arno was blessed with six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service with be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 11 a.m., at the McArthur Centre, 1355 Veterans Lane, Greenwood, B.C.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, businessman, friend and politician. He will be missed by all.
Assman's Funeral Chapel was in care of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
