Annie (Anne) Margaret Dahl (nee Bergman)
April 14th, 1937 – Sept. 27th, 2015
Annie (Anne) Margaret Dahl (nee Bergman) was born on April 14th, 1937 in Agassiz, BC. She was the middle of 11 siblings – 4 brothers & 6 sisters. In 1957, Anne married Waldo Dahl surrounded by gladiolas in Yarrow, BC. Anne & Waldo have 4 children: Glenn A. Dahl (predeceased), Gordon (Shelley) Dahl, Vincent Dahl, & Theresa (Mike) Carson; 9 grandchildren; & 1 great-granddaughter.
Having lived in many places in BC over the years, Anne always made friends wherever she went. Her many interests included: art; people; music; singing; dancing; athletics (she was a pitcher for the 1958 softball team the Income Tax Dodgers); travelling; home canning; puns & word play. Anne was an avid Scrabble player who loved eating ice cream & watermelon!
Following a fulfilling teaching career, Anne continued to nurture her life-long passion & talent for art which culminated in her own art show in June 2014. After a brief battle with pancreatic cancer, Anne passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Sunday, September 27th, 2015. All her family & friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 10th at the Christina Lake Community Hall (90 Park Road) from 2-5pm. Please bring an appetizer to share, along with any stories, songs, & photos you may have of Anne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Grand Forks Art Gallery Scholarship Fund in memory of Anne Dahl.
