1924 - 2013

With great sadness, we announce the death of our beloved husband, dad, grandpa, brother and uncle, Andrew (Andy) Elliott on Tuesday, December 17, 2013. Andy was born on November 29, 1924 to Sarah Dunn and John Brogan in the County of Donegal, Ireland. With his mother’s family, he immigrated to Canada as a toddler and spent most of his life in BC. He worked as a commercial fisherman, logger, mechanic, farmer, house builder and renovator. He retired from the City of Greenwood work crew in 1993. Andy is survived by his wife Catherine, daughter Halainne Rayne, grandson Michael (Donna) Rayne and great granddaughter Aiishe, and granddaughter Serrah (Bryn) McArthur. Also survived by

step-children Roxane Erixon and boys Dalton and Alex; Darren (Krissy) Lloyd and his children Azalea, Ezra and Bae. He leaves behind his brothers Lloyd Elliott and Jack Larsen; also five nieces and nephews. Many thanks to Dr. Naude, Bev and Leslie at the Midway Clinic, to the Boundary Hospital nursing staff, Louise Fitzgerald of Hospice, Deborah at the Grand Forks Funeral Home, Martin Fromme, the Reverend Paul Brandon and to all the friends and neighbours who gave comfort in word and deed.
