In loving memory ~
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Alice Semenoff at the age of 84.
She passed away peacefully in Boundary Hospital surrounded by the love of her family.
Alice was born in Pass Creek, BC but resided in Grand Forks, BC for most of her life. Her parents were Alex and Dora Hoolaeff. She was the middle child of 5.
Starting at the age of 18, Alice trained and worked in various departments at Boundary Hospital up until her retirement.
She married George Semenoff in 1961. They raised 2 children: David Semenoff and Shannon TenBroek. George and she had 46 years together before his passing in 2007.
Alice had many interests including cooking and baking for her family and friends, sewing, flower arranging, gardening, camping, travel, and countless hours of card games plus dominoes.
She was a beautiful wife, mother, auntie, baba, and friend. Always known as a kind, loving, generous, and gentle woman, she will be deeply missed by many.
Alice is survived by her brother Alec Hoolaeff, sister Bernice Bassett, daughter Shannon TenBroek, daughter-in-law Brenda Semenoff, and grandchildren Nolan and Kelsey Semenoff.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Gospel Chapel on Saturday, October 12th at 12 noon. All those who knew and loved Alice are welcome to join us at this informal, light luncheon to share memories of this remarkable person.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and various support workers who came alongside them during her recent battle with cancer.
We bid farewell to one much loved,
but never to be forgotten.
